Our Story

Wild Chestnut Cafe.JPG
Rosalie and Myssie, co-owners of Wild Chestnut Cafe
Hello!

Our names are Myssie and Rosalie - the two “wild women” behind Wild Chestnut Cafe. We are two earthlings passionate about vegan food and animals’ rights activism. With a combined 25+ years of restaurant experience, we are excited to own and manage a restaurant driven by compassion in downtown Florence, MA.

We have both been ethically vegan for 6+ years and we met while doing animals’ rights activism on the streets of Northampton, MA. Veganism and activism are two important aspects of both of our lives and have motivated us to create a business focused on ethical and sustainable values.

So naturally...

Wild Chestnut Cafe is 100% vegan.

We opened our doors on January 8, 2022 and we are so happy to be here.

Our goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and comfortable space to benefit our vibrant local community, the planet, and all its inhabitants through the power of food. We have always dreamed of opening a restaurant and are beyond excited to watch this dream come to life.

Thank you for all of your support 🦉🦋

As Brian Kateman from Forbes writes, “whether it’s a matter of ethics or entirely-health inspired, one thing is becoming increasingly clear with each passing year: Americans want more vegan restaurants, even if they have to build them themselves"
